The Oltrepasso residency gathers multidisciplinary artists to regenerate a nearly deserted Apennine village through collective creation. Under the 2024 theme "Traces of the Path", this performance reconfigures the relationship between humanity and the natural environment by adopting a radical shift in scale. By viewing the landscape through the perspective of a flea, the work shrinks the human ego and magnifies the overlooked textures of the earth. This microscopic lens transforms the rugged mountain terrain into a vast, alien architecture of survival and instinctual movement. The performers navigate the village as tiny inhabitants of a giant ecosystem, shifting the focus from grand narratives to the minute, essential traces left behind.
